Sandgate Seafoods is a family run business which has been selling fresh fish and a variety of seafood to the public and businesses for over nearly 40 years.
Situated on Whitbys busy old east side on the Yorkshire coast, we are surrounded by hundreds of years of fishing heritage and although the local industry is smaller than it once was, there is as much demand for fresh fish and seafood as there ever has been.
Where possible we try to buy as much as we can from local boats because to us, local is always better, but when this isn’t possible, we only use reputable suppliers to make sure that quality and freshness isn’t compromised.
Specialising in Locally sourced crab and lobster, we also supply everthing from fresh fish to ready to eat products. Cooking at home? We also have a choice of sauces and ingredients, and even seafood tools to make life easier…..
Our website has been designed to bring our shop into your home, with all the products you would find on our counter, and at prices that you would expect from a seaside fish merchants.

Sadly yet again we find ourselves with no Crab products. Persistant bad weather at sea with very few windows of calm weather mean our potters are struggling to fish consistantly. Keep checking back and as soon as we have stock we will make them available on here. As of 16/4 the availability for the rest of the week is highly doubtful! 🙁
