Sandgate Seafoods is a family run business which has been selling fresh fish and a variety of seafood to the public and businesses for over 40 years.

Situated on the North Yorkshire coast and nestled into Whitby’s old east side, we are surrounded by hundreds of years of fishing heritage and although the local industry is smaller than it once was, there is as much demand for fresh fish and seafood as there ever has been.

Where possible we try to buy as much as we can from local boats because to us, local is always better, but when this isn’t possible, we only use reputable sources to make sure that quality and freshness aren’t compromised.

Specialising in Locally caught crab and lobster, we also supply everything from fresh fish to ready to eat products. Cooking at home? We also have a choice of sauces and ingredients, and even kitchen tools to make life easier…..
